Childless so far but I'm encouraging all of my friends to push their own kids into the trades. Obvi not directly transferrable but as AI takes a bigger slice of everything, there are physical professions that will last longer.

Removing humans and their competence in favor of a demi god called efficiency, but for what really? a false hypothesis that ai systems are inherently without error/malice (just shows how little you understand about them).
In any case, if we ever go down that dystopian path, at least you'll get a "you're totally right" response, once ai sells your house because it has a broken pipe somewhere.

Great story. Sadly believable. Reminds me of Kurt Vonnegut's "Harrison Bergeron."

- who controls ai?
- where data sits and who owns it?
- who's accountable for AI errors?
- can an agent be punished for bad behavior?

also, it's not optimistic at all. it's a satire taking aim at one possible bad outcome.
